Consultation

Who can assist you in addressing leadership conflict issues? Our *Certified Christian Conciliators™ provide Christ-centered consulting to help Christian leaders address leadership issues and group conflicts in a biblically faithful manner. Proactive and reactive consulting issues include organizational, role definition, termination, sexual and criminal misconduct, theological differences, and others. (Matthew 5:9; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Colossians 3:12-17; James 3:18)

    • Recruiting, qualifying and selecting reconcilers.
    • Training for reconcilers and case administrators (see Church Reconciler Training).
  • Addressing Existing Conflict: Guiding leaders for responding to existing conflicts in churches, schools, and other organizations. Services include:
Leadership Consultation: This service includes advising leaders who are faced with special conflict situations. This may include conflict resulting from such things as differences over leadership styles, power struggles, sexual misconduct, legal threats, employment issues, criminal acts, theological differences, and other matters.
Seminar with One-Day Consultation: This service includes one staff person teaching the one-day Bible study seminar, Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar, and providing up to eight hours of consultation for leaders within a single visit.
Reconciliation Assistance for Conflicted Groups: This process includes a team of two to three reconcilers making two four-day visits for teaching the one-day Bible study seminar, Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar, interviewing leaders and members, mediating key parties, evaluating data, reporting on results, and a one-day follow-up from the team leader. See Summary of Reconciliation Assistance for Conflicted Groups.

Written Proposals for Specific Reconciliation Assistance in Organizational Conflict

Ambassadors of Reconciliation will provide a written proposal to a church, school, or other organization in need of reconciliation. Proposals will vary depending on the organization’s size, the nature of the conflict, and the specific services proposed.

In order to schedule the services, the consultation or proposal agreement needs to be signed by the organization’s properly authorized leadership. Leaders will need to provide a copy of the constitution and bylaws and other documentation indicating proper authorization (such as minutes from a meeting where the proposal is approved). In addition, the organization needs to pay a retainer or provide a credit card with sufficient limit to cover the anticipated costs.

Our consulting and reconciliation services are provided according to the Rules of Procedure found in Guidelines for Christian Conciliation published by Peacemaker Ministries®.
