Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar

A Life-Changing Event!

Blessed Are the Peacemakers seminar is a full-day Bible study on reconciling relationships and resolving conflict. In this power-packed presentation, you will see how God’s ministry of reconciliation is meant to be lived out in your daily life. You’ll learn practical ways to apply your Christian faith in family, business, church, and legal conflicts. Since all children of God are called to be peacemakers, this Bible study is appropriate for every Christian. Church leaders who have responsibilities for teaching and assisting others in their conflicts will find this seminar especially helpful for assisting others to respond to conflict in a biblically faithful manner.

Benefits of Attending a Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar

As Christians living in a sinful world, we frequently address conflict with the world’s familiar ways. Although we should know better, we often respond to conflict by trying to escape or by attacking others. When we do, relationships are damaged, businesses and careers suffer, and the witness of the church is weakened.

In Blessed Are the Peacemakers seminar, participants learn how to reverse this problem. You will study key Scripture passages and acquire new tools for remembering the basic principles and applying them in everyday conflicts. Past participants report how they used these tools and principles to resolve everything from family squabbles to complicated lawsuits. Some of them have shared the following:

"My sister and I hadn’t talked for two years. Following the seminar, I took the first step and now we’re reconciled."

"Seeing conflict as an opportunity helped me to stop running away from my family problems!"

"I asked my employee for forgiveness, which led to a discussion about my faith in Christ. Now he wants a copy of the Bible study I attended!"

"You don’t know how much this changed my life – just ask my wife and children!"

You will be challenged in the same way to live, proclaim, and cultivate lifestyles of reconciliation in the family, workplace, and church.

Seminar Features

Each seminar is presented by a Certified Christian Conciliator™ who is experienced in assisting people in their conflicts through coaching, mediation, and arbitration. Our instructors’ stories of real people inspire and demonstrate how the principles presented are not theoretical but realistic and practical. Blessed Are the Peacemakers seminar covers the following topics:

  • Understanding conflict from a Scriptural viewpoint.
  • Identifying worldly and godly responses to conflict.
  • Three opportunities for the Christian in conflict.
  • How to confess your faults without justification.
  • How to forgive others as God forgave you.
  • How to achieve genuine reconciliation.
  • How to negotiate in a God-pleasing manner.

Each person attending the seminar receives a 24-page study guide for note taking during the seminar and personal review, and everyone receives an easy-to-use handout on Announcing God’s Grace through Confession and Forgiveness. A small group Bible study version is available for purchase at the seminar for follow-up and sharing with others. We offer a selection of resources at our seminar book table for Bible studies and other teaching materials, personal coaching, and further study.

Who Can Host a Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar?

Congregations, schools, universities, seminaries, circuits, districts, and synods are just a few examples of those who have hosted this seminar. Any organization interested in equipping people for personal peacemaking can host the seminar.

Benefits of Hosting a Blessed Are the Peacemakers Seminar

As people practice new ways of addressing conflict, conflict will not disappear from your midst. In fact, initially you may have to deal with more conflict. As people become more sensitive to God’s call for peace, they will stop covering up the conflict that already exists. They will begin to discuss and resolve their differences more honestly and constructively, and old unresolved issues will be brought to light and dealt with. They may need some guidance from church leaders as they struggle to employ newly learned skills.

But these requests for help become opportunities for discipleship. As a result, time and energy that is currently wasted on escaping from conflict or attacking others will be redirected to glorifying God, serving others, and growing more like Christ, giving a living witness to the unbelieving world. Just imagine how that would benefit the individuals and families in your church and community!
